Lucky Man Accidentally Sent $40,000 in Neiman Marcus merchandise

Clearly we love a good Instagram story. One that includes about $40k in free stuff from Neiman’s? Not too bad. Barney’s would be better but this isn’t about us. It’s about Matt Hwang. Insta user and lucky recipient of bad decisions at Neiman’s. Included in the surprise bounty was a few Chanel purses and a truck load of guilt. Not sure we’d feel too guilty but to each their own. Say what you will but Mr. Hwang didn’t hold on to the goods for long. He was greeted by jaw dropped Neiman’s employees while returning the delicious goods. For shame!

How about some classic horsepower to go with your brunch and Rose’. Vroom! Vroom! Used in Steve McQueen’s 1971 epic “Le Mans”, this Porsche 917K race car has been completely restored. If only we could restore Mr. McQueen to go with it. Am I right? Buckle up! Sunday August 20th this one goes on the block and is expected to fetch north of $14 million. You may now return to brunching.

Jay Z and Beyonce Rent $500k A Month Malibu Compound

We’re not always one for the celebrity gossip train but we couldn’t help ourselves with this one. A little Friday afternoon voyeurism from some of our faves to go with your drive or ride (we hope) out to Montauk. Jay-Z and our Queen Bee have landed in the most delish of spots to relax and recover post pregnancy. Yes for $500k a month we’d hope for a gilded fortress fit for modern royalty. It doesn’t disappoint. 10 beds, 14 baths and a $72M price tag seems adequate for the growing family to relax while looking out over the ocean in Malibu. Enough talking. How about a little video!

Wheels up! Rose’, sushi and maybe a nap. It’s time to take the jet around and sample what summer has to offer. An itinerary isn’t complete without a few stops to see some music and be seen. As music festivals have taken greater care to t accommodate those of us refusing to be stuck with the masses in gen pop. The rise in UHNWI attending has seen a lovely increase. We couldn’t be happier. It’s always nice to be around the like-minded. $665,000 To Park In Hong Kong

How much are you willing to pay to park? Perhaps parking is only for the proletariate. Regardless, how much would you pay for 17ft of concrete? Executive director of the Huarong Investment Stock Corporation, Kwan Wai-ming is willing to pay north of $650K to do so in Hong Kong. Yes, yes that same price may grab a modest flat in London or Hong Kong. Perhaps Hong Kong has reached peak real estate or the price could still balloon since a similar spot sold for only $615K a year ago. So, $45k up from last year…not a bad investment….even if it is only concrete.

Ritz-Carlton Launches Drone Academy Experience

Yeah we may have a little tech fetish in us. And why not, the yacht always looks better from 100 feet up. So we think we’ll make our way over to the The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay for this one. They’ve partnered with Lumoid, a gadget rental company out of SF to launch a “Drone Academy”. You’ll be able to hone your drone and ariel photog skills with some pros for $300 a session. Four DJI drone models will be available and you get to walk away with all your footage right away on a memory card or wait for it to be delivered to you online. We can’t wait to test out our new skills the next time we’re on the big boat.
